This feature-filled cylinder sports a ground and polished hard chrome-plated, cold rolled steel rod and a rugged AISI 1045 steel clevis ends for superior toughness. It offers a Hallite piston and rod seals and a precision honed 1/4in. steel tube cylinder wall that is 33 thicker than common tie-rod cylinders. NorTrac cylinders match industry standard tie-rod cylinder mounting dimensions and can serve as direct replacements for tie-rod cylinders in most applications. These cylinders are also designed to be fully rebuilt and offer seal replacement kits. On this NorTrac Heavy-Duty Welded Cylinder it is possible for two cylinders to be set up this way, but we are unable to assist in the design of setting the system up properly. We recommend contacting a hydraulic specialist for system building and design.

This NorTrac Heavy-Duty Cylinder has a max load rating of 14,719 lbs. It is not rated for a "max lift", only max load.

Question

Single acting displacement cylinder

The piston rod size and stroke are exactly what I need but we wanted a single acting displacement cylinder, can the piston of these be drilled to accommodate this?

This welded cylinder can be used in a single acting application without drilling the piston. No hydraulic hose connection is necessary to the port on the rod end. The piston will retract due to gravity and also the weight of the implement.
