This tool is approximately 3 1/2" in length when closed. The 5/16" end is the proper size to disconnect the fuel line on most 99 F-150s.

It's a small hand tool, 3 to 4 inches long, and it will disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter on a 1999 F-150 (and many others). If you're talking the air conditioning hard line disconnect, it's a little bigger and you need the tool with 4 different sizes vs the 2 sizes on this one.
