To set the temperature on this Duraflame PowerHeat Infrared Quartz Heater you would want to try the following:

▲ ▼- SETTING TEMPERATURE
1. When pressing the ▲ ▼ buttons the LCD display will enter temperature setting mode.
2. When in temperature setting mode pressing the ▲ ▼ buttons will change the thermostat by 1 °F (1 °C.)
The temperature setting range is between 50 °F - 97 °F (10 °C and 36 °C).
3. The default temperature is 72 °F (22 °C.)
4. After 5 seconds of no control input the LCD display will exit temperature setting mode and display the
current setting temperature.

Also, we do offer a product manual on our website for this item (below the “Add to cart” button).

answer 2
It shows that you want it to go to 72, it will blink then when it goes back to 67 it is showing the room temperature at that time, because it has not reached 72. I would advise to set it at 80 and then it will pull the room temp up to 72 or more, hope this was helpful.

Question

How Dependable is this product

Where would the Duraflame Heater need to be sent if repair is needed, also how long has your company been selling this product? What is the average life expectancy for the heater. How does it compare to the Eden Pure Heater?

Duraflame, the manufacturer of this product does not provide a service life rating. This product is covered by a 3 year limited warranty. We also offer additional coverage for this unit that would give you one or two years past the manufacturers warranty where if it were to fail we would replace the entire heater for you! Click on the warranty tab on the product page for more details. This heater has similar features to the Eden Pure heaters that we used to sell.

If the bulbs were to burn out you would replace the whole insert. You just turn the unit over and remove the screws off the bottom and pull out the insert and replace with the new one. The replacement insert would be purchased direct from the manufacturer. Keep in mind that the bulb is not covered by warranty but does have a approximate lifespan on 50,000 hours.
