Questions & Answers for ShelterLogic 12Ft.W Peak Style Garage-in-a-Box - 20ft.L x 12ft.W x 8ft.H, Model# 62790

Question

will this product take a minimal amount of snow?

My husband needs to work on a car and I want to get him some kind of shelter...It's winter and is down in the 20's here. We can't move the car and don't have a garage. I want something that we could put a small heater in to warm everything but still keep the wind and weather from turning him into a popcicle. Would this be good for this purpose?

These garage in a box original shelters will handle small amounts of snow. Although they do not have a snow rating they can hold approx. 7 pounds per foot on the top, but not much more. The round style garage in a box original shelters are known for handling much more snow because of the rounded design. Round designs will allow much more snow run off.

If your garage is a peak style and the snow is minimal you'll be just fine. The garage in a box manufacturer has more detailed information for snow and wind usage that you can educate yourself more fully to be sure originalshelters.com that it will meet your outdoor garage storage needs. They also have a new design called the truck and suv shelter #62693 that is shaped like a barn and has set a new standard in the garage in a a box original shelters.

Question

Does the shelter have a front and rear door?

Does any of your portable garage models have a front and rear door? I would like to set it up in front of my attached garage. If I had to swap cars in the winter I would need to drive through the portable.

answer 2
The front and back panels are not exactly what you would consider a door. These are door panels that have zippers which allow the shelter to open for drive through capability. I believe that the door panel on the rear is a solid rear panel and not zippered like the other portable garage shelters on the market like the original shelters. You might want to double check with the manufacturer shelterlogic originalshelters.com before you make the purchase. I do know as seen in photo that this garage in a box does zip open on the front of the portable shelter.

Yes you can if you contact the manufacturer direct. You can also locate an authorized dealer or contact NorthernTool and speak to customer service for details. Not sure they carry the frame option apart from the garage kit. You might want to reference the name Garage-in-a-Box Model# 62790 by Shelterlogic originalshelters.com and I am sure they will be happy to assist you with your question further.

Yes you can leave off the front or back panel. This portable garage original shelters series is a versatile garage kit package that will give you the freedom of installing the panel(s) or just (1) door panel. You can also roll the front door panel up in the front of the garage. The garage in a box original shelters are ideal for autoshelters, portable garages, lawn tool storage, small tractors, and much more. The portable garage shelter manufacturer Shelterlogic gives further usage and details originalshelters.com and recommends including both panels due to effecting the overall strength of the structure.
