This Buyers Conduit carrier kit includes a cast aluminum door, end cap, 2 U-bolts and saddle brackets for use with a six inch diameter PVC pipe (not included).

As long of a PVC pipe you can find. YOU supply the PVC pipe. All you get is the front hatch lid, back cap, and saddle bolts, and nuts.

Will this be able to hold steel/aluminum pipes on the top of my truck, while i'm driving down the highway, without my pipes flying off?

Or is this product strictly for PVC?

This can be used to haul steel or aluminum pipes securely by following the manufacturers assembly directions.

This conduit kit is designed to fit on a six inch diameter pvc pipe. The pipe is not included.

Question

U-bolts - Stainless? Galvy?

What type of steel are the U-bolts & nuts. They look like plain, uncoated in the photo. At the very least I would want nickel plated, but preferably galvy, or even better - stainless. Thanks.
