Questions & Answers for "Ultra-Tow High-Performance Bearing Protectors - Pair, Fit 1.98in. Hubs, Stainless Steel, Grease Level Indicators, Model# 5712940"

Question

Grease Level Indicators?

I see the spring, and the pretty blue and red plastic racing stripes, and I see a hole. It looks like the plunger is cup shaped, so that as grease is added, the main spring compresses and the rim of that cup raises so as to be visible through the sight hole in the red/blue plastic ... is that correct? If not, how does the 'at a glance' grease level indicator work? Thanks!

If the bearing protector is overfilled, grease will appear around the edge of the piston or through the fill indicator. The hole is the sight indicator.
