Question

Length of hose that can be attached to the liquid transfer pump hose?

Would this liquid transfer pump be able to operate effectively if we attached a 20-foot long hose to it? If so, what diameter hose would be appropriate, and how would you suggest we attach the hose to this pump?

Please see my review on this pump. I attached a 6' long clear vinyl tube with a 9/16" outer diameter and 3/8" inner diameter, and used a hose clamp to hold it in place and it worked great to pump heating fuel. You could probably use a 20' length of that hose, especially if you were pumping down hill.

Before pumping gas through the pump again make sure the unit is completely dry and emptied of all traces of water. This will prevent mixing water into your gas.

answer 2
You'd probably have to pump a little gas through the pump into a container to flush the water out, then dispose of the gas/water mix in an environmentally friendly way.

answer 2
It would probably work for brake fluid, at least one time. I bet the brake fluid would corrode or melt the pump if the brake fluid is left in there though. Make sure you don't pump water with the pump first! (Brake fluid absorbs water).

The fuel never comes in touch with the motor or anything electrical. The pump itself is isolated so it is safe. Just don't smoke or use a cell phone while pumping gas!
