How often do you need to change the filters when painting

Most of the reviews were for dust and organic fumes. How well does this unit work when used in a painting environmentand how often should the filters be changed out. Thanks

There really is no set time limit on these. When you start to smell some of the fumes then you will need to change the filter.

When you can taste or smell the paint, or when free breathing ability is reduced. Otherwise count the hours until this happens subtract a few hours and create a schedule. Every chemical and concentrate will vary the life of the filter.

Will this be suitable for sandblasting and/or powdercoating applications? Will this protect against sillicosis? Thanks!

This respirator would not be the recommended unit for all these applications. It would be good for painting and varnishing. For sandblasting, sanding, sawing a better choice would be item #547000 against dust type particles.
