Northern does not sell a power cord that you could use with this pump. The cord would have to be made or purchased locally.

You don't need a power cord. You can buy a replacement male plug for a buck or two and attach it. In our business we use a 3' length of an old power cord, and attach with wire nuts. We do this because in the demanding situation of our coffee hut, we wear out a pump every 12-18 months. This is acceptable service length for a diaphragm pump, where a city water hookup is not available.

I don't know where the other two answers came from? These pumps are entirely pressure shutoff adjustable. I run three of these all at different pressures, and adjust pressure output regularly. The adjustment screw is clearly visible in the picture even. What's not adjustable is the differential, which is just under 20psi, so if you have it shut off at 50psi is has to drop to just over 30psi to start again. I hook these to a pressure tank just like a typical well/house setup only smaller and for RO water.

Yes. Just like any RV pump, it comes on when a faucet is opened, and shuts off when it builds up its' minimum pressure. It is also fairly quiet. Shut off time is less than 2 seconds after the faucet is closed.

That would depend on the product you were going to pump. I used clear vinyl with nylon reinforcing purchased at my local hardware store. I would not recomend garden hose as it is typicaly is made of low quality material and may taste or leach chemicals.

Staff Answer
The SHURflo Industrial Pump can draw water from a pond. The pump is limited in how far it can draw water. It has a maximum suction lift vertically of 9 feet, so as long as you are within that range, and don't have lots of sediment, you should be fine.
