answer 1
Yes it can easily be removed. Without looking at it I can't remember exactly how but it is so easy it is a non issue. The rubber O-ring seal also easily pops out of it's groove for cleaning. This is a good tool I have no complaints with mine.

Indeed. It is held on with a nut, though I am afraid of loosing it so I usually soak it for a few minutes in really hot water. The protein coagulates and falls out with a tap.

Question

How do I get parts for this?

The seal on it is cracking a little bit so I want to buy extras to keep on hand in case it breaks while I am in the middle of processing meat. Does Northern Tool carry the parts on hand?

answer 2
I think you can get parts from Northern Tool, If not, find a butcher supply house where you live or online and they should have them. It is only a large o-ring.You could probably do a search for O-rings and put in the diameter and thickness of yours and get results.
