In the majority of the United States, the solar industry uses 5 hours of 'peak sunshine' as the annual average. In the Northern and New England states you would use 4 hours. The estimated monthly production at 4 hours of sunshine daily is 902 kWh and at 5 hours it's 1,127 kWh.

Question

Grid-Tie to sell back?

In reading through Q&A's for your vaious solar panel systems, it appears that a "Grid-Tie" system can actually be used to "sell" electricity back. Are these PowerG systems capable of that? and do they come with all the accessories to do that; or is additonal equip needed? If so, what? And is there a special meter or arrangement you need w/the power company to do this?
