The system includes an inverter/charger, a distribution panel, lockable UL listed enclosure, eight 12 Volt, 105 Ah batteries and cables ready for an electrician to install.

It would depend on the wattage of the solar panel that would be used. For example, if a 200 watt panel would be used, from 4 to 24 panels would be needed depending on what voltage is used. For the 12 volt hookup, it would need 24 panels, 24 volt would need 12 panels and 48 volt would need 4 panels.

The batteries on the BPS back up power system will operate for 1700 cycles before they will need to be replaced. If used every day, they will last for approximately 5 years

The 5 panel 1 kw solar panel kit is compatible with the BPS system Model BPSXW6048. Everything is included that is needed for the system. No other components are required.
