Question

Can the cylinder head be reversed?

I would like to purchase this pump as a replacement pump but my existing pump is mounted to the left of the motor and therefore the intake and outlet are reversed. If i could reverse the cylinder head then I would be able to have a straight connection from the pump outlet to the tank. I have a craftsman 4HP with 20 Gallon tank. Would i have to reverse the valve plate as well as the cylinder head?

This pump can be mounted in a variety of ways to suit your needs. When exploring mounting options keep the following in mind:
1.) This pump needs to turn counter clockwise when facing the flywheel.
2.) The pump needs to remain in the upright position for proper lubrication.

The pump mounting bracket dimensions measure 6.14" from center to center left to right, and 5.51" front to back.
