This item comes with battery cables and must wired directly to the vehicle battery. This inverter should be capable of running either a small T.V. or a small fan, but probably not both at the same time. Be sure to check the power requirements of the items that you want to operate with this inverter before ordering. On the appliance there should be a tag or label that lists the amperage requirement.

answer 2
Yes, get it. A small 40 watt TV or small 60 watt fan is the perfect item for this. Both at the same time. It will handle 750 watts. Just look on your device and add them up until you get close to 750 watts. A hair dryer or hotplate would not be smart. The damage comes when the inverter is a fried due to an overload.

No, wiring these inverters together could damage the inverters. If you need 1500 watts the best option is to use a 1500 watt inverter. See link below for more details.

Sounds like you are planning to add a 1500 watt hotplate to cook on or a electric iron. I would not add them even if it worked. Get a larger unit built for the proper size.

To determine the wattage requirement you'll need to use the formula amps x volts = watts. Northerntool.com has a generator buyers guide to assist in your wattage needs.

This NPower portable inverter has a surge protection of 1500 Watts.

Surge protection is built in for start-up of an appliance because in most cases it will take more Watts to start an appliance than it does for the unit to just run.

This NPower portable inverter should operate in an ambient air temperature ranging from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, so it may automatically shutdown if your barn goes above or below this temperature range.

Keep in mind to double check the wattage that your box fans draw, as this inverter can power 750 watts.
