There are adapters available that allow negative and positive wires to connect to mc4 cables. Northern Tool does not currently offer these adapters. They would have to be purchased locally.

When maintained properly the batteries will have a life span of about 5 years. The power hub unit does have a low battery indicator on it. When the voltage gets to low the inverter will automatically shut off. When the system is recharged it will automatically reconnect.

Question

Maximum Panels and controllers this system can handle?

I've purchased this system and want to add on about 1400 watts of panels with multiple controllers. Can this system handle this, if not what is the max it can handle? Will all these controllers be attached to the solar connection, or can any be attached to the wind connection?

This NPower Solar Power Package can handle up to a total of 450 watts of solar panel with the existing charge controller. Fourteen hundred watts of more solar panel would require 93.3 amps of charge controllers or four more, 30 amp chargers. Increasing the solar panels is not going to increase run time or output. It will charge the batteries faster. Solar and wind power can work well together. A qualified electrician should be consulted and employed to install these systems.
