The size of the cable connecting the PoweHub to the wind turbine would be the main concern as to distance between the two. By your electrician checking the NEC code, you will be able to determine the correct size of cable to use for maximum performance.

This NPower complete power package is intended to be used as a freestanding unit.

The manufacturer does not recommend or supply a mounting system for roof tops, it will vibrate at high wind speeds.

Yes, charge controller(s) would need to be added if expanding the system to include solar panels. If using crystalline panels, you would need 1 amp of charge controller to every 15 watts of panels. For example, a 150 watt panel would require a minimum of a 10 amp charge controller. See links below for a few we sell.

The included Wind Turbine does feature over speed protection braking system which starts at 1300 RPM. Should you expect or experience winds of 150MPH upwards, please turn off the MPPT controller which will in turn manually apply the braking system to protect from any over spin. Once the Turbine has stopped it is possible to lay down the Tower to offer further protection.

Question

Can multiple packages be installed together?

For example, could two complete turbine packages be installed with outputs combined in parallel to create a 3.6kW (2.4kW continous) output, and with each system outfitted with two battery boxes providing a total of 8 batteries in the overall system?

You would not be able to tie two power hubs together. You can add additional solar panels, batteries and wind turbines to give you quicker charging on the batteries and to give it longer run time.
