This Xantrex Freedom 3000 Watt full power inverter provides true sine wave output. Its an ideal choice for operating power tools, microwaves, entertainment systems, plasma or LCD TVs, computers, refrigerators and more. Built-in transfer switch automatically transfers between inverter power and incoming AC power. Temperature compensated charging for all climate conditions; can operate between -4°-140°F. Also includes coated circuit boards that provide protection in humid environments. Use for commercial trucking, RV, marine and construction applications. This backup power source is made to be wired directly to an existing power system. It includes an automatic transfer switch so that power will be automatically transferred from ac input to inverter power.

if your DC device, ie your battery, can supply 3000 watts DC then yes, That's a BIG Battery.

The Zantrex Freedom 300 Inverter will not be able to be converted to run 240 volt AC power. The inverter, however, will be able to charge 12 volt DC batteries. With AC input available from the utility grid or a generator, power is passed through the Freedom SW 3000 Inverter/Charger to operate connected AC loads. The remaining AC power not used by loads is converted to DC power and used to charge batteries.

This Xantrex Freedom 3000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter, connects to AC 120v input available from the utility grid or a generator, power is passed through the Freedom SW 3000 Inverter/Charger to operate connected AC loads. The remaining AC power not used by loads is converted to DC 12v power and used to charge batteries. If AC input power becomes disconnected, fails, or falls out of specification, a quick transfer takes place and the Freedom SW 3000 begins converting DC power from the batteries into AC. As a charger the Freedom SW 3000 produces 150 amps to charge your batteries.
