Northern Tool and Equipment does not sell sealer or have a recommended sealer supplier. Suppliers in your area could be found in a variety of ways including internet search or phone book.

It is a 160 cc engine. It is historically equivalent to a 5.5 HP engine.

This unit is not made to be used with heated sealer, it is made to be used with ambient temperature material such as coal tar or asphalt emulsion.

How do you agitate the sealcoating?

Just curious as to how you agitate the sealcoating in the tank. Its a very nice unit, however when sealcoating settles for more than a day or so it needs to be mixed. How does this system agitate the material?

This NorthStar asphalt seal coating skid sprayer mixes by recirculating the seal coating, it does not have an agitator.

The three nozzle included are designed to determine the application rate of the material. There is no other pressure adjustment available.

The material is not allowed to be stored. After use it is required that you drain sealant into a bulk storage container.

The North Star asphalt sprayer uses a coal tar emulsion sealer. The coal tar is temporarily mixed with water.

We do not recommend customers use sand since it causes premature wear and part failure along with the fact that our unit is agitation only. Recirculation of the sealant through hoses and the sand tends to settle to the bottom.

No, Our NorthStar asphalt seal coating skid sprayer will not accommodate a sand mixture due to it not having an agitator in the tank.

If you were to add sand to this sprayer the sand would settle at the bottom and clog the plumbing.
