which blade for fiberglass( model gmt15a)

What would be the max thickness of fiberglass that the tool would be capable of cutting through. thanks jc

2 of the blades that come with the Genesis Oscillating Tool will cut fiberglass. The wood and drywall saw blade(round) will cut approximately 1 inch thick, and the flush cut saw blade will be able to plunge cut through approximately 2 inches deep.

If you are using the long thin blade you could probably get around an inch in depth. Because of the oscillations going any deeper may burn the fiberglass before it gets all the way through.

With the right blade I would think it could cut through at least an inch or more. When using it to trim door jambs for wood flooring I use wood/metal blades and it cuts through nails in the frame with no problems except a blade does not last as long as just wood, naturally.

With the available blades,probably no more than 1 3/4". Maybe slightly less.
