This pump will fit in a 4 inch pipe. The body diameter is 2 inches.

Question

Can this be used as a backup for a sump pump?

I would like to just mount this above my sump pump and only turn this on, when the primary one fails. Then run to the store while this one is pumping. Is there a water level switch that can be added to this?

This pump is not designed to be used as a backup sump pump. Item #10808 (shown below) would be recommended.

A good battery would be an AGM design such as the 35Ah battery item #349900 shown below.

The 4 Seasons Submersible Water Pump is a low pressure pump that will not be able to provide enough flow to operate the misting heads.

This Stainless Steel Submersible Water Pump has a one hour duty cycle. It is not designed for continuous use.
