Ironton Expert
This battery load tester is only for use on 12 volt batteries. Northern Tool doesn't carry an 8 volt battery load tester.

Only by revealing that the voltage is too low. Otherwise, NO. If you trickle charge the battery and it won't hold at least 12.6V, then you battery is either shot or very weak. The Amps (current) are what gives you the power to crank your vehicle. You can't get a numerical readout for this data with this tester.

This Ironton Battery Load Tester will not test dead cells. The red light indicates that the battery is bad, has no charge or is completely discharged, yellow indicates a weak battery which requires recharging and green means the battery is good/normal and has an existing charge.
