Does the AC input allow me to hook a generator to this port to charge the batteries? If so, what type of connector type is that?

You can use a generator for charging the batteries. It has to be connected to the AC-Input using AWG #12 cable.

Yes you can feed the 38326 (2000W + 55A Inverter + Charger) with whatever 120Vac 60Hz AC source for charging the batteries.

The 120V 60 Hz generator output has to be connected to the AC-Input screw terminal connector (L, N and GND) of the 38326, using the bare ends of an AWG #12 cable.
