No they are steel, don't let that put you off. For the size they are great, my wife does not have a problem with them.

There is no statement on assembly.

All comments have to do with using the ramps to load onto a pick-up truck. Can they use used to load onto a
SUV such as a toyota venza.

The Ultra-Tow Steel Tri-Fold Ramps can be used with an SUV. The ramps will sit on the back of a tailgate or SUV and need to be secured to the vehicle itself with included straps.
