You can check existing tire pressure using the Shop Tuff Deluxe Inflator/Gauge. It would not emit any sound when desired pressure is reached; you would simply need to follow the display and release the lever when desired pressure is achieved.

Yes, you can check the existing pressure. You can also reduce the tire's pressure by squeezing the handle. There is no audible signal, however.

Yes, you can even check the pressure without hooking the gauge to an air hose.
It makes no sounds but the digital readout is very easy to see.

answer 5
The existing tire pressure is displayed when the "trigger" handle is partially squeezed. Squeeze more and inflation begins. There is no chime. Just add and check. Repeat as needed.

answer 6
Yes you can use it as a gauge without an air hose hooked to the unit, but there is no sound. The reading only takes about a second so I don't mind not having a beep.

Enjoy

To change the battery you would remove the cover on the back of the gauge with a cross head screwdriver, open with flat head screwdriver, change battery and replace cover.

Turn it over, look for two small slots cut into the rubber cover, put a Philips head screwdriver in and turn to the left. Do same to over one and then turn over and put a flat head driver at bottom edge of air gauge top--pry up a little --it will come out of rubber cover--battery is on back of this. push it out and replace with same type. Check your directions on this also... Its not a hard thing to do....Hope this helps you

This Shop Tuff gauge would have 1/4in. NPT inlet. You would add a plug quick connect to it to make it quick connect between different compressors.
