The bed mat is designed to be cut to the correct size that is needed for your bed.

The roll fits over your truck gate. You will pull out the mat to the front of the pickup bed. Then put your gravel, dirt or whatever load you need to transport on top of the mat. When you are ready to unload you will roll up the mat with the handle and it falls off the back as you roll it up. There is a video you can view under the mat item #352.

You would not need to cut it. You just pull out however much of the mat you need off of the roll.
