No, there is no drain plug, and that makes the unit inconvenient to drain if you have sodas or other items in the box. And you will have to drain and replace ice often.

This cooler has a built in liner that will keep the contents cold. As long as the cooler is packed with ice and kept closed it will perform well in direct sun.

Northern Tool does not sell a drain for the Tradesman Truck Aluminum Diamond Plate Cooler. The manufacturer does not recommend drilling into the cooler to install one, and any modifications would void the warranty.
