The chuck on the impact driver in this DeWalt kit is a 1/4 inch hex quick release.

Yes it is a quick change chuck. 1/4" bits fit perfect. We used the square drive with the screws and it went well. Misaligned angles on the screws were no problem. Out of 15 lbs of screws we only spun one, after taking it out twice, It was in a tight corner and you couldn't get a straight shot at it.

Yes it is and you can buy a drill kit that is handy to fit in this chuck .i would recommend it

Yes, it is very simple and it is spring loaded so changing bits is effortless.
