The strip has a 4 pin trailer harness that will plug into the trailer towing kit on your vehicle.

It plugs into your acccessory unit ( where you plug your trailer lights, etc.); if you have to pull a trailer, just unplug the light Strip

If your configuration is 48 inch or 60 inch. It installs with adhesive tape and uses a 4-pin trailer harness. Works with trucks, SUV's and trailers.
