This particular item is a set, not a rotary tool itself. So this kit is simply that, just a kit to use with your existing rotary tool. This item number from Northern Tool website has a rotary tool included 333144 - and someone answered your question, in that the item 333144 is varible, but is not specific in RPM. It looks very similar to my Dremel model and mine goes up to 35,000. Hope that helps you.
