The liner can be sprayed on, but is not recommended by the manufacturer. The brush and roll on is the best method. You would need to have the right equipment for spraying. Northern does not offer a product for this method.

I never used a sprayer to spray it on, as it was actually very thick. Not as bad a honey, but really thick. My method, which worked quite well, was to pour it out on the deck of the truck, and use a throwaway paint brush to spread it around. Took about 30 min to do.

Question

Will this product stand up to heavily concentrated salt water?

I need to line the inside of a FLOTATION TANK. Will it works as well as fiberglass? What do I need to line a container approximately 8 ft. long, 4 ft. wide, and 4 ft. high. Will it hold to the top of the inside of the tank and to the verticle walls of the tank. I will use about 12 inches of water in the tank and add approximately 450 lbs. of salt.

No, the Herculiner will not withstand salt water and is not a sealant and can not be used in this type of application.

Question

I have a plastic "cover" on the top/lip of my tailgate; will this adhere to it as well.

I don't want to remove the cover, but would like a consistent look once applied.

This Herculiner bed liner kit will not adhere properly to plastic.
