Yes, the batteries are replaceable. It requires 2 CR2450 3 volt lithium coin cell batteries.

The battery compartments are a bit difficult to open but do not "pry" on them you need to just pinch and pull the release to open the compartment, if you do happen to break a part on this helmet you can purchase parts directly through the manufacturer.
