Questions & Answers for NorthStar High Pressure Soap Shooter - #4, Model# 100145

Question

Which nozzels work with which washers?

The General Pump High Pressure Soap Shooter — #4, Model# 100145
There are three different Sop Shooters and they should be matched to your pressure washer. Can you tell me how they match up to the different washers by psi/gpm?

We do not have a chart that would match these up for you. You would just go with the one that is closest to the PSI and GPM of your pressure washer. If you use currently the 3.0 or 3.5 orifice nozzles you would purchase this #4.0.

The #4, #4.5 or #5 refers to the orifice size of the nozzle. The size orifice depends on the GPM and PSI that your pressure washer provides.

Question

Can i use this with bleach?

I want to use this to bleach my fence. I will be using a bleach and green cleaner. Will this pump stand up to the corrosiveness of bleach?

I have bought a back pack sprayer from you guys to use the mix i described to clean fences, but instead of using a manual pump, i would like a easier solution.
I was told i could use this and a tank to achieve those results. Does this come with a spray handle or is tha separate?

Thanks!

Question

RE: Can I use it on my car.

I am confused about the answer. You elude to the soap coming out as a stream but the pictures on your website depict the unit putting out a fan pattern. Please let me know which is correct..

This unit sprays a straight stream (0 degree pattern). the "fan" than can be seen in the pictures is just water vapor that is spreading from the stream. If you look closely, you will still be able to see the stream in the middle of the cloud of vapor. The farther you stand away from the item that you are applying the soap to, the more the mixture will dissipate and spread. This item is ideal for spraying soap on a surface that is a distance of 10 to 15 feet from the gun. For an application like washing a car you will most likely want to standing closer than 10 ft. away. At this close distance the mixture does not have any chance to spread and most of it will end up dripping on the ground. With a fan pattern (15 to 40 degree) the mixture will immediately spread when it leaves the nozzle making it easier to evenly coat and wash the surface with soap.

Yes, this soap shooter could be used to apply detergent to a car. Keep in mind that this item will provide a stream of detergent and not a fan like you would see in a car wash. We also offer up stream detergent injectors that will allow you to apply soap at high pressure using your regular pressure washer nozzles. See link below for more details.

There is not a way to "open" or close this shooter. The flow is controlled by the gun on your pressure washer, this item will simply replace the existing quick connect nozzle on the end of a pressure washer wand. There is not a way to adjust the mix ratio that this item will provide.
