Question

How dose the outside heat effect the panels effectiveness?

I heard that any heat over 72* will reduce the solar panels output...and how would a Wind unit be combined to charge the batteries at over peak times ?

The panels with the BPS Solar Power Source will work better in cooler temperatures. An actual temperature is not stated. Yes, this Backup Power Source is capable of accepting a 12 volt wind turbine.The system will require in and out breakers or fuses, a stop switch (to stop the generator when needed), and a diversion load controller (to prevent the batteries from overcharging and to cool the batteries.)

With the batteries fully charged and pulling the full 6000 watts the batteries would only last about 1 1/2 hours. You can add more batteries to have more power storage and more solar panels. You can also use a generator to help charge the batteries.

This unit can be tied into the power line to automatically come on when power goes out. It can also be set up to use as a peak power source that you turn on and off when you want it. It can also be used as the only source of power. In order to do so would require a good way to keep the batteries charged. This can be done by solar, wind power or generator.
