Questions & Answers for Load-Quip Steel Bucket Forks - 1400-Lb. Capacity, Black, Model# 29211767

Question

Can these be used to spear a round hay bale?

In lieu of buying a spike to attach to the bucket, I was thinking these might be more versatile. Only need to move a few bales once or twice a year.

The Load-Quip Steel Bucket Forks will not spear the hay bale as they do not have a pointed end. The item below would be the best for spearing bales.

answer 2
Having used spears for moving hay myself, I would think you may have a problem using the fork to move hay if the rolls are good and tightly rolled, the end of the fork is not sharp like it needs to be spear a roll of hay.

You may can use both forks and pick the roll up with them.

the load range is as a "set". also, keep in mind that the load rating of your bucket arms changes when you put these on. your lift is rated for weight in the bucket... NOT 4 feet in front of the bucket. i.e if you're rated for 1200 pounds in your bucket, you may only be able to lift 800 with forks like these.

Yes, this product would be able to handle moving large rocks. You do not want to exceed the weight capacity, though.

It did for me. I positioned the forks under the rock the best I could, tied the ends to keep them from spreading and if your bucket will lift it works just fine.

Question

Will this work on a bucket with teeth?

Put an aftermarket teeth bar on my bucket which has been great. Will these bolt on with the teeth bar (i.e. is there enough clearance for the clamp) or would the teeth bar have to be unbolted?

The working length of 36" measures just the flat portion of the forks from the backrest to the front taper. The extension length measure from where the tip of your bucket would be to the end of the forks.
