Question

Can you safely run only one compressor at a time and do maintenance on the other?

We have an application in that we want to have one compressor availible while we perform maintenance on the other compressor. To do so do we need to have two service panels?

As long as your air requirement does not exceed the one compressor you would be able to do this. If your air requirement were to exceed the 1st compressor then the other one will automatically kick on.
