This Wayne sump pump can be cycled every 30 to 60 seconds or as much as needed to pump out the sump pit without damage.

This pump is not designed to be used without the float switch. Northern does carry 2 pool cover pumps and utility pumps. Item #'s for pool cover pumps are 28736 and 496881.

The Wayne Submersible Stainless Steel/Cast Iron Sump Pump is self priming. The Max total head is how far the pump will lift and push a liquid. Lift plus head equals max total head.
