In order to use this to charge 120 volt items, you would need a charge controller, a 12 volt battery and an inverter. The charge controller will wire between the panel and battery to prevent overcharging. The battery would store the electricity from the panel, and the inverter will convert it from 12 volt to usable 120 volts. Although we sell many different sizes of batteries and inverters, see links below for recommendations. Check power consumption of whatever you are looking to power to be sure the inverter will be large enough.

Best bet would be to use this and a charge controller to charge a 12v battery, then run an inverter off the battery.

There are better units online or in the catalog to do what you want to accomplish. More than one unit available will do what you want. However, to charge the units mentioned you would need to use a charge controller to charge a battery. Then use an inverter connected to the battery. From there you can plug your device into the inverter. Caution; read your instructions for the device you want to charge. You may need a Pure Sine wave Inverter for some devices. I have charged and ran my laptop and phone chargers directly off the regular inverter and did not seem to notice any challenges. Check your operating manuel anyway.

Two charge controllers(sold separately) cannot be connected to one panel. To charge more than one battery with one panel, you have to wire the batteries in parallel(not in series) and connect the charge controller to one set of terminals. To charge the batteries separately, you would need two panels and two controllers.

Two charge controllers are NOT necessary. Charge one battery through the charge controller and jumper the first battery to the second battery then both will be charged together.

The previous answers are correct as far as they go, but lack some vital details. The batteries MUST be identical or at least very similar in their specs and should be of the same age. Also, when attaching your 12V load to the batteries (except in a vehicle with double batteries), you should draw from the negative terminal of one battery and the positive terminal of the other battery. This will ensure that the batteries discharge evenly and one will not wear out more quickly than the other.

In theory, you can connect to the battery thru the cigarette lighter socket.
Most cars disconnect the lighter/accessory sockets when the key is off, tho, so you would get no charge.

answer 2
You can connect them in parallel. Most of them have a blocking diode, but even if they don't, they will work with minor loss of efficiency, if any. That is, 2 15 watt panels in parallel might deliver 29.8 watts instead of 30.
Parallel connection presents no hazards or danger.

This solar panel can generate 1.34 Amps per hour under ideal conditions. For example, under ideal conditions, the panel will generate 20 Watts x 7 hours x 7 days per week for a total of 980 Watts of power. You can connect multiple panels together to decrease overall charging time. By adding a second panel of the same output you will double your output and half the length of the charge time.
