I have mine mounted permanently on my boat. it is 90% out of the weather and has held up great. try putting it under plexiglass or under an overhang, etc....

1.5 Watts at 12 Volts = 0.125 Amps, so it would take 8 hours to produce one Amp-hour.

The NPower Solar Powersports Charger will only work with 12 volt batteries. We do not sell any 8 volt chargers at this time.

Yes, as long as the cigarette lighter remains live (active) when the engine
is off. Some vehicles shut off this connection once the keys are out of the
ignition. If this connection is not live, the best option is to connect the
panel straight to the battery.

The solar panel will keep the charge over the winter as long as it receives adequate daylight.

This solar powersports charger cannot be used in tandem with another to charge or maintain a 24 volt battery. Northern Tool doesn't carry a 24 volt solar battery charger/maintainer.

This solar powersports charger has a light/indicator that turns blue when the panel is receiving a charge from the sun. This indicates the panel is working. Once the panel is correctly connected to and charging a battery, the indicator turns off(it may appear white).

Disconnecting the charger when driving is advised for safety reasons as the panel is not secured for transportation on the dash and this could distract the driver. There is no electrical problems that would be caused by the charger not be disconnected.
