This solar charge controller includes 18" leads/wires for both the input and output. The output leads have ring terminals at the ends for connection to the battery. The solar panel leads don't have terminals at the end of the wire. The leads exit from the back of the the controller.

Wire leads are provided, the battery ends are terminated with ring lugs for a standard lead acid battery.

This charge controller would not work for a 12 volt charger for AA batteries. It is for use with 12 volt solar panels for charging 12 volt batteries.

Will this controller work with gel cell batteries supplying no more than 14.1 volts for bulk charging and no less than 13.8 volts for float charging until completely charged. Gel cell batteries are sensitive when it comes to recharging.
