Yes, there are markings on the side of the tank that show in both gallons and liters. On the product page these markings can be seen by clicking the "Zoom" button below the picture.

There is not a hole in the top of the fill cap to be used for a pickup tube. There is a 3/4" drain hole in the bottom of the tank. A pump pickup tube is usually attached to the drain hole in the tank.

no hole for pickup tube, probably because there are so many different applications. But it is easy to drill one anywhere you want.

The outlet on this tank exits horizontally from the bottom of the side of the tank. When using an electric pump with this tank, the clearance required is minimal (typically less than 2 inches). A typical installation would rout a hose from the tank outlet to the pump that could be mounted on the tank or in a remote location depending on your specific setup needs.
