The black box on the back of the solar panel will be either flush with the frame or below the frame slightly. The total thickness of the frame is 1 1/2".

Question
Managing a marine battery charger
I want to attach this panel to a marine boat charger which manages 3 -12 volt batteries. Can i change the alligator clips with a female plug attaching this to the charger.
I only use the boat every two or three weeks so it has plenty of time to recharge.

This AC current plug can not be used directly with the DC current that comes form the panel. The DC current needs to be inverted to AC current. A typical system would be to wire the panel to a 12 volt battery, connect it to a charge controller, then to an inverter and plug in your equipment. Look below for product recommendations.
