This remote car starter may require a bypass module for vehicles with an alarm system or a transponder. Please contact the manufacturer(ACCELE ELECTRONICS INC) directly to see if this would be required. Northern Tool does not sell the bypass module at this time.

I installed this unit in a '02 Honda Civic and had to use a DEI-555i to get the remote start to work without having to leave a key hidden in the car.

How easy is install

What is involved in installing this item? Is it possible to have a copy of the installation instructions emailed to me for review before purchasing? Can the auto start be installed without the keyless entry?

In order to install the starter you must have a good knowledge of electronics and automobile mechanics. You may need additional modules to bypass factory installed systems such as the absence of keyless entry. Each installation can vary depending on make and model of vehicle, therefore, the manufacturer suggests contacting a local installer.

This remote car starter will work on a vehicle with manual locks. All of the other features available with this product will work on your vehicle, however it will not unlock or lock the car, you must do this manually.
