Tjernlund does not rate the decibel level or noise level of their crawl space ventilator fans. This fan is designed to exhaust air for venting purposes rather than take in fresh air.

answer 2
1) Fans noise level is low and could not be heard directly above on first floor.
2) Fan exhausts to outside. Makeup air would come from your other vents.

answer 2
You will need to add your own grounded cord, 3 wire nuts and one cable clamp. The electrical box on the unit will accept a 3/4 inch cable clamp to hold your cord from pulling on the wire nuts that you use to connect the electrical leads. Naturally, the cable that you use to connect the unit can be terminated in any way that you choose.
