Question

Does this fan have a pull chain or string to change fan speeds?

We may be mounting the fan fairly high on our wall and it may be difficult to reach the fan speed control knob. Having a drop chain or string would allow us to change the fan speed even if the fan is mounted high on the wall.

Yes it does. The chain is short but as you know you can easily add additional chain to this type of thing, it's like a ceiling fan chain.

The fan can be mounted upside down. But, there is a set screw for the tilt on the fan and this would need to be checked often to make sure it does not come loose.

Yes, the Q Standard Oscillating Wall-Mount Fan does have a non-oscillating setting. The swing arm can be disengaged by removing a screw on the underside. The instruction manual will show how to turn the oscillation on and off.
