The Peak GPS with backup camera comes with 3 feet of cable. Your local Radio Shack or electronics store would have cable for extending. They also carry a variety of mounts for GPSs.

If your thinking of a hard connection between the camera and monitor, then you will not need cable for this, the camera transmits wirelessly. If you are thinking of powering the GPS Monitor located inside the cab, then I would recommend placing a 12volt accessory socket within 3 feet of the intended monitor screen placement. Just be sure to allow a bit of air space for the unit to breath as electronic devices do generate a bit of heat while in operation. My unit is installed in a crew cab pickup with a cab over camper, however I opted for the usual suction cup lower windshield mounting. The camera powers from one of your reverse lamp wires or the yellow wire that feeds the center pin on a factory heavy duty 7 pin tow connection.

No! One of the great features is that the rear image is transmitted wirelessly to your receiver. The camera is powered by the reverse lamp. If your vehicle is equipped with a heavy duty tow package, your install is even easier, you can power the camera from the yellow wire that feeds the center pin on your factory 7 pin tow connection.

It can be installed on a motorcycle and wired to a switch. You will need to make sure it can be kept dry. You would go to the manufacturers website to download the current GPS software. Then updates as needed.

The GPS system is turned on/off when the ignition is turned on as well as via the on/off switch. The unit will switch to the backup camera mode when the vehicle is in reverse. The manufacturer does not recommended a different brand of camera. Any tampering with the unit will void the warranty.
