Do you sell Propane version ?

Also - can this unit be controlled by an outside (wall type) thermostat ? I want to set it up as an automatic emergency heat source. It the temperature go down to preset temp in the thermostate - I want it to turn on.

A propane version of the Arched Insert is not available through Northern Tool, The Natural Gas unit will work with a thermostat kit available through ProCom.

Question

Do you have to use the included log set or are you able to use fireglass instead?

In other words, are the logs required for this fireplace to function. I'd rather used contemporary fireglass (chunks of glass) versus traditional looking wood logs.

This natural gas arched insert has not been tested for use with contemporary fireglass. It would then not be recommended.

I believe in the instruction book it says "optional remote". Does Northern Tool offer the remote, or is there a way to purchase it?

An optional remote can be added to the ProCom natural gas vent-free arched Insert. Northern tool and Equipment does not carry this item.
