The width of the seat is 18.3" wide and the height off the ground is 15.5".

Just got our bench and assembled it - Was bigger than I expected - the 18" width of the seat is just the actual width of the boards - Between the arms and the table, you have a full 21" in front and 20" in the rear - More than enough for even this 230 pounder!
