Up to three motion detectors can be connected to one receiver. Besides the audible alarm, there are three LED lights on the receiver, that will show you which zone had motion detected.

How many feet away will the base unit receive signal from the detection unit?

Is the reception dampened if the base unit and receiver are separated by structures, such as walls? If so, by how much?

Transmission Range is 300ft, line of sight. Optimum range is 250ft when signal is passing through walls or floors. Buildings with metal frames may also cause signal disruption.

The unit is shipped with an AC Adapter for the receiver, you may use batteries (not included) in the receiver for a completely wireless system. Battery life of motion sensor (batteries included) is 6-12 months based on tests of daily moderate use (10 times/day). Battery life may vary depending on usage, temperature, and quality of batteries.

The volume is adjusted by a dial on the side of the unit. When it is turned all the way down the sound will be off. The indicator light will still come on with the volume down to let you know it has been activated.

The Wireless Driveway Alert System has a 2 wire input on the bottom so if your existing system also has a 2 wire input yes the item could be used to trigger your existing alarm system.
