This wind turbine requires the MPPT smart controller as the turbine produces AC power then the MPPT controller converts it to DC power for the 12 volt battery bank. The NPower 30 amp controller only accepts DC power so it won't convert the AC power produced by the wind turbine.

This wind turbine includes a smart controller that converts the power to 12 volt DC only. It won't charge a 48 volt system regardless of the number of turbines used.
