The manufacturer does not offer an isofootcandle rating for this light. There are too many variables to consider. They do list the lumens at 45,000.

Question

What is the optimal height this fixture should be place?

I intend to hang this fixture on the side of a barn at 16 ft above ground. It this the best fixture? Or would the 150 watt option work as well?

Yes, this can be mounted 16 feet above the ground. The 150 watt would be a better option. The 400 watt would be a little much.
